Architectural Modelmakers
Our customer base includes both Architectural practices and Architectural Model Makers, some of whom we have worked with for over 30 years.
Our depth of knowledge and experience in our field allows us to provide advice on the selection of metal and most suitable thickness for specific designs or applications.
The etching process provides the perfect manufacturing method to produce fine detail on facades, we can produce parts with surface etch detail down to 0.15mm, allowing modellers to replicate detail as close as possible to the 'real-life' buildings.
Etched facades/designs can be manufactured from brass / Stainless Steel / Nickel Silver / Copper / Phosphor Bronze in a range of thicknesses to suit the design, our newly installed metal laser unit also allows us to cut Aluminium and metal thicknesses
normally beyond the capabilities of the etching process.
Sheet Size
Depending on the metal type and thickness, sheets can technically be produced at maximum length of 1500mm (at 300mm wide) or 1200mm (at 600mm wide), these max. sizes should only be used however where the longest component requires this
length, we normally recommend that where the parts are small enough that a sheet size of 300mm x 300mm is used, this is an efficient size for processing and shipping.
